Q: The service can not be installed. A1: Make sure you start the pseinstall.msi with administrator rights. If you are installing from a console window, make sure that console window has been started with administrator rights. A2: The other reason why the service installation may fail is that the trial period of 14 days is already used up on that client from a prior installation and you are trying to re-install. In that case you will have to manually create and put the license file into "C:\Program Files\Print Settings Enforcer" directory before you execute the pseinstall.msi. Q: The service is installed and is running, but the settings do not get reverted to the defaults from the server. A: Print Settings Enforcer only works on queues pointing to a Microsoft Print Server. It will not touch localy installed queues. Check the Event Log "Application" to verify any error message entries from the PSE.exe Service. Also check that the service is running properly under the LocalSystem account. Q: Print Settings Enforcer is showing a Invalid License file error on screen or in the Event Log "Application". A: Please contact our support staff by email and include the license file as attachment. Someone will contact you shortly. Q: The trial is expired and I would like to prolong the trial period. A: We are glad to do this, please contact our support staff. |
